I’ve been a demonstrator since May 2007 and I honestly think I have the best business in the world! Whether it’s hosting an in-home or online workshop, organizing a class, or even designing a beautiful new project, Stampin Up has truly enriched my life. I have met so many fantastic people through stamping and some of my best friends are customers and other demonstrators. I have also learned that with the right tools, I can confidently be artistic and create beautiful handmade treasures to give to family and friends. Seeing the joy in someone’s face when I give them a handmade card that I made myself is absolutely priceless, we need this connection more than ever. With Stampin' Up!'s coordinating colors and matching accessories it is so easy to put together a beautiful handmade project in only a few minutes! Realizing how easy it is to make handmade projects gave me the confidence to make the step to becoming a demonstrator - the discount helped too! I think the best part about my business is that I can help others unleash their own creativity just like I learned how to unleash my own!
I first saw the catalogue when my co-worker brought it into the architecture firm where I worked. The catalogue immediately caught my eye even though I don’t consider myself crafty and had never even heard of Stampin’ Up! before. The merchandise was so clearly organized and before I knew it, I had a wish list a mile long. I joined my demonstrator’s card club and was seriously hooked. She kept talking to me about becoming a demonstrator and I dismissed the thought for a long time. I had many reasons but mostly I didn’t want to get hooked into adding something else to my busy life. She finally got me with the discount. When I realized I could get at least 20% off everything that I ordered through myself I decided to sign up. I’ll never forget when I was doing my training with her and she also mentioned that I earn on orders that I collect too - I was floored! Why would anyone NOT do this for 20% off, supplementing our household income, and absolutly no penalty if you don’t continue to be a demonstrator!?! This was only the beginning of the things that I’m thankful for from Stampin Up! I currently have an average of 3-5 events a month and I’m always looking for more! Some people ask me why I choose to do so many and I can honestly say that I love it. What could be better than catching up with friends old and new, seeing their enjoyment, and stamping - all in one night! The income is really an extra benefit but it’s great having extra money for expenses and treats for myself.
I went to my first Stampin Up! convention in Salt Lake City in August 2008 and that was the epitome of why I love stamping. To be in a room with over 6000 other demonstrators who love stamping as much as I do was overwhelming. I can’t tell you how many times I got goosebumps and I won’t even get started on how many Kleenexes I went through! When it was all said and done, I had more techniques, card samples and passion for stamping than I knew what to do with. I've been hooked on stamping trips ever since!
